Welcome to “artefact” – an artist bio app created to enrich the experience of art gallery visitors and
art enthusiasts.
I designed this app as part of my Google UI/UX Design Course, with the goal of enhancing how people interact with art in galleries. artefact provides users with detailed information about artists and their artworks, along with interactive features and intuitive navigation through an artist’s portfolio. It’s all about deepening engagement, discovery, and appreciation of art in a more immersive way.

Problem
Art galleries often lack accessible ways for visitors to learn more about the artist or explore their complete body of work.
Relying on a quick Google search later or even on the spot, can feel disorganized and overwhelming.
Goal
To create an immersive app experience for art lovers.
Discover in-depth stories behind artists and effortlessly explore
their full portfolio through an intuitive, interactive interface.
My Role & Responsility
As a UI/UX designer, my role involved conducting user surveys to understand the needs and pain points of art lovers, followed by creating wireframes and developing low-fidelity prototypes to address
those insights.

Home Page - Easy to scan an find out about the artist.
Explore option that gives suggestions based on what you have searches and saved before.
Events & Bookings - This feature keeps you updated with new art events in your city and provides you with a platform to easily book the tickets.
Artist Bio Page - Find out all the information about the artist with just one click.
The page consists artist’s biography, their inspirations, the materials they use, exhibitions/awards and a gallery of all their artworks
Art Page - Once you click on an artwork, you see a full page picture of the artwork, and a brief description of it such as - Name of the artwork/Series, thought behind the artwork, colours/materials used etc.
At the bottom of art & artist bio page there is a footer with share, save and audio description option.
Profile Page - Your profile will have your name and your saved pages of artists and individual artworks.
